Journal of David Marlow Design

David Marlow Design is a small creative design agency based in Swindon, Wiltshire, UK. My journal is just a mind dump of; bits for future reference, the odd vent of steam, family stuff, friends, partners, design, art, music and anything that catches my eye.

Associates’ “Party Fears Two” single came out January 28, 1982. Here’s a TV performance from that era—I always loved the keyboard part in this song.

New Pop’s greatest song.

RELATIVE PITCH: Sunday Viewing

Splendid rendition by Record Club of the venerable INXS’ hit Need You Tonight. Thanks to Thom for sending this my way. Hope you enjoy it as well.

Me: Did you want the font in cursive or something more simple?

Client: I want it in English.

Me: English is a language - cursive is a type of font we use. Did you want it to be fancy, or simple?

Client: No! In English!

Me: English it is then.

The Lions Mane Jellyfish is the largest jellyfish in the world. They have been swimming in arctic waters since before the dinosaurs (over 650 million years ago) and are among some of the oldest surviving species in the world.
The largest can come in at about 6 meters and has tentacles over 50 meters long. Pretty amazing when you think these things have been swimming around for so long.
They have hundreds of poisonous tentacles that it used to catch passing by fish. it then slowly drags in it’s prey and eats it.
That is terrifying.
